INSTRUCTIONS
This calculator is intended for use in preterm infants and is based on the original CRIB-II derivation cohort. As such, it should only be applied within the validated input ranges used to construct the scoring system. The current numeric boundaries are: Gestational age: 22 to 32 weeks. Birthweight: 251 to 3000 g. Inputs outside these ranges fall beyond the populations studied in the original model and may produce invalid or non-generalizable results. In such cases, alternative assessment approaches should be considered.
